Boughton House
Our work for the Boughton Estates and the Dukes of Buccleuch began over 100 years ago, and we continue to provide architectural and planning consultancy on a day-to-day basis.
The comprehensive restoration of the imposing stables and adjacent residential areas was carried out over a number of years. Major structural problems required highly specialised underpinning work, as well as repairs and restraint to the superstructure and roofs. Parts of these buildings, which had been empty for many years, were brought back into use and, following internal restoration, providing a coach house, tea rooms, lecture rooms and residential accommodation in the form of various flats.
