The Buckley Building
Oxford Brookes University
This £5 million building at Oxford Brookes University is home to a number of departments including Humanities, Social Sciences and a School of the Built Environment. It provides facilities to allow interaction between the wider community and the university's cutting edge research.
The 2,500 square metre building has a gently curved roof and an external steel framework. The internal environment has been carefully designed to prevent the degradation of stored archive materials, and this includes lighting and temperature control as well as UV-resistant glass in exterior windows.
