This provides a modern research environment with a variety of spaces specially designed to encourage formal and informal exchange of knowledge and ideas.
The H-shaped building, which was originally part of the former RAF station around which the campus is based, has been totally transformed, having been completely stripped out and had new services installed. There are also major extensions to the front and rear.
These include a large interaction reception area and a double height multi-purpose lecture space as well as a two-storey extension for research facilities. A balcony has been incorporated around the lecture space to enable anyone to come along and listen in.
