County Ground redevelopment
Northants County Cricket Club has published plans to renovate their 122-year-old home. The scheme which has been devised by GSS involves the whole of the Wantage Road end being extended and refurbished, with a new front to the main building. The project would include a new media centre, and improvements to dressing rooms, catering facilities and toilets.
GSS previously designed the Indoor Cricket Centre at the other side of the ground, which has been widely recognised as the finest in the country. As well as an indoor cricket school, the centre provides a spectator pavilion with extensive hospitality facilities. It is regularly used for exhibitions and conferences.
