6th Form Centre
Queen Elizabeth's Hospital
The new sixth form common room, which is at the heart of Bristol's oldest boys' school, replaces former showers and toilets used by the boarders. The whole area has now been completely transformed, and is totally unrecognizable from what was there before. It incorporates a brightly coloured cafe, a study area and a new office for the head of 6th. The works uncovered a hidden corridor, which now provides an efficient link to the school's new ICT facilities.
The project, in Clifton, also included a three-storey extension to the school's grade II-listed main block.
