Rockingham Castle
GSS have been architects to Rockingham Castle and its estate for nearly forty years, and during that time have supervised numerous conservation and restoration projects, including the replacement of a number of the castle's roofs.
The castle roofs are inspected annually, with a more detailed inspection of the fabric taking place every five years. The necessary conservation and restoration works are then put in hand.
Rockingham Castle, which overlooks the delightful Welland Valley, was the scene of much activity in the English Civil War. It was featured in the TV series about that period, "By the sword divided".
