Campus Restaurant
The University of Northampton
The design of the restaurant was conceived not only to cater for 500 customers at any one time, but also to act as a focal point for the campus. It is extrovert, forward looking and exciting, but still an efficient and considered building.
Described in the Architects' Journal as a "Classic solution of an elegantly proportioned and immaculately detailed pavilion", it won the prestigious National Civic Trust Award. A model of the restaurant was also exhibited at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition.
