Working with Farrans Construction, we delivered three new primary schools, funded by the Education Funding Agency (EFA), for the Harris Federation in the London area.

The first of these is Harris Primary Academy Mayflower, located in Chafford Hundred. The former container storage site has been transformed into a brand new five-form entry primary academy, which accommodates over 1,000 pupils, and at the time, made it the largest primary academy in the UK. The innovative design has created a range of flexible teaching facilities, and provides nursery and reception years with access to dedicated external covered areas, as well as increasing the opportunity for a creative curriculum.

The second project, Harris Primary Academy East Dulwich, is situated on the site of the Old Police Station on Lordship Lane, and has been remodelled into a two-form entry primary academy. The scheme, which was handed over three weeks ahead of schedule, has delivered a bright and modern school with a range of facilities for learning and play.

Thirdly, the new build two-form entry Harris Primary Academy Shortlands has also been successfully completed. Accommodating up to 420 pupils, aged 4-11 years, the new facility has provided Bromley with a much needed, welcoming and high quality school.
