Lutterworth High School
Lutterworth High School sits at the heart of the local community, with a firm commitment to ensuring that all students feel secure and challenged. GSSArchitecture have worked with Lutterworth High School for a number of years. This project is the third major stage of the whole campus masterplan including an extension, to form a new flexible learning and dining zone, together with a drama and dance studio. Previous work includes the remodelling and refurbishment of the design block, school hall, staff office areas and entrance.
The new dining area has improved the lunchtime experience, as well as being designed to provide space for socialising, out-of-lesson learning and group work. It has provided new learning opportunities, allowing the school to deliver a more creative and student-focused curriculum within a contemporary environment.
The scheme also included the refurbishment of the Learning Resource Centre, which has created a modern area for independent learning. It has been designed to accommodate various informal and formal seating areas, which support a range of IT flexible study, teaching styles and activities.
