Norden Farm – Centre for Arts

Norden Farm Centre for the Arts, finding themselves in significant financial difficulty, invited GSSArchitecture to assist in seeking further assistance from the Lottery, and also to co-ordinate detailed production information and project management services to enable the completion of the project. The £4m project involved refurbishment of listed buildings, the construction of a 220-seat auditorium, a dance studio, a restaurant, and an art gallery, together with associated accommodation.

The theatre provides a complex of auditoria layouts, variable acoustics, and high specification lighting and sound equipment. 5 no. sophisticated art features were integral with the projects and involved close collaboration between the artists, the contractor and GSSArchitecture .
