Opus Energy
GSSArchitecture provided Architectural services for Opus Energy’s new headquarters building based in Northampton. The scheme involved the remodelling and regeneration of an existing 1990’s office that previously housed Northamptonshire County Council.
The design has transformed the outdated office building into a new corporate HQ and created a modern, flexible working environment that responds to current working practices and the use of technology in the workplace. The spaces allow staff to operate in different ways, as well as promoting communication and collaboration. Some key features of the design include a new main entrance and reception, the introduction of a café space, and a range of flexible ‘breakout’ and ‘touch down’ areas.
GSSArchitecture’s in-house graphics and visualisation team have worked closely with the client to produce 360 degree virtual reality (VR) experiences in order to showcase the development in an immersive environment, allowing the client and staff to experience and tour the offices prior to construction.
