GSS Deliver Worksmart Initiative at the University of Leicester

We’re excited to share some before and after images of our recently completed transformations at the University of Leicester, refurbishing interiors in the Fielding Johnson and Charles Wilson buildings to deliver the agile working spaces, as part of the Worksmart initiative.

GSS is delighted to be working with the University on the roll out of this campus wide scheme, designed to support flexible working that enables people to balance home and work life, whilst maintaining high levels of performance.

Worksmart adopts a personalised and inclusive approach, providing Professional Services staff with a wide range of choices about where and how they work when on Campus. Flexible, open plan and creative spaces enable places to work and engage with colleagues, whilst designated quiet spaces and rejuvenate areas provide opportunities for focused activities, quiet reflection and relaxation.

GSS provided architectural and interior design services for the scheme, drawing upon research carried out by our internal Health & Wellbeing working group to inform the designs of the new spaces.
