We’re delighted to announce a number of senior promotions following recent successes and the continued growth of the Practice.
Newcastle Studio Lead and Architect, Simon Rennison-Rae, and Architect, Tom Jagger, based at the Midlands Head Office, have both been appointed as Partners.
Simon, who joined the practice back in 2016, has been instrumental in growing the Practice’s presence within the North East, resulting in commissions to deliver the award-winning Catalyst, home to the National Innovation Centre for Ageing and National Innovation Centre for Data, and most recently the Campus for Ageing and Vitality masterplan in Newcastle’s city centre.
Tom, who has been with the Practice for 13 years, is actively involved with the Northamptonshire Society for Architects, RIBA Mentoring Schemes, and recently completed work on the highly anticipated expansion and redevelopment of Northampton Museum & Art Gallery. Tom is also currently working on exciting projects within the education, residential and commercial sectors.
In addition to the appointment of two new Partners, Andrew Vallis has been promoted to an Associate, having joined the Practice back in 2019. Based in our Midlands Head Office, Andrew is currently working as Lead Architect on the Kettering Gallery, Library and Museum expansion project as well as the new Macmillan Cancer Support Centre at Kettering General Hospital.
Senior Partner at GSSArchitecture, Tom Lyons, said, “We are thrilled to announce these well-deserved promotions within the Practice and would like to thank Simon, Tom and Andrew for their continued hard work and dedication to GSS. All five offices have worked tirelessly throughout the pandemic, and, as a result, the practice has picked up some exciting commissions as of late. This, combined with our high-quality work and experienced teams, puts us in a great position for the future.”
