Planning Permission Secured for Residential Home Extension

We are proud to announce that our exciting project, involving a 2 storey extension to an existing residential home in Burton Latimer, recently received planning permission during a virtual planning committee meeting.

The extension at The Yews Residential Home for the Elderly will provide 16 single rooms and associated welfare accommodation, and will be linked to the existing Listed Building.

All sixteen bedrooms, situated over the two floor levels, will have private en-suite bathrooms for each resident, with a further two shower rooms and a bathroom for users who require assistance. Along with the additional bedrooms, the new building creates a new lounge and dining room area to be utilised by new and existing residents.

The site, which is located within the Burton Latimer Conservation area, includes the existing Grade II listed Residential Home, where minor alterations will be taking place in order to reconfigure internal areas, which will join the new build extension via the glazed link.

The design of the new build extension and glazed link have been carefully considered with context in mind, so it is not detrimental to the existing buildings found on the site and also within the conversation area as a whole.
