Plans Approved for Important Homeless Accommodation in Hertfordshire

Due to significant hard work from the entire project team, we are proud to share that an important new homeless shelter in Letchworth Garden City received planning approval, following a committee meeting earlier this week.

Managed by Haven First, the GSS designed facility offers much needed accommodation to homeless people in the local area, with 40 bed spaces available, made up of a mixture of single bedroom units two bedroom “moving on” units and associated facilities.

Once complete, the building will provide a safe and supportive environment for primarily single homeless people, with the eventual aim of resettling them in their own accommodation within the local community.

We have been working closely with Ashe Group and Smith Jenkins in order to develop and progress these important plans, and we are all delighted that the project has now received planning permission and can start on site in due course.

Keep an eye on our news page for updates on this project, as well as a similar scheme we have recently been working on for Harrogate Borough Council!
